    AireSpring's Classes of Service

Over the past few years, the performance, cost, and flexibility of frame relay service caused many customers to re-evaluate their private line networks. As a result, all types and sizes of businesses migrated and continue to migrate their circuits to frame relay service, while realizing substantial savings in their telecommunications costs. Customers now need more than simple LAN-to-LAN connectivity, and are looking for frame relay service to provide support for many other applications and protocols. As a result, many customers are now collapsing their multiple data networks (e.g., X.25, SNA, IP, IPX, Private Lines, etc.) into a single frame relay network, and are even considering using frame relay services for voice or video.

Each service class has been engineered to provide the best network performance under specific application environments; LAN, SNA, and Voice. Each service class leverages the feature capabilities of our advanced network infrastructure which allows these service options to be transported at higher speeds in either frame relay or ATM protocols. Each service type (e.g., PVC) is deployed in the network with specific performance parameters which directly affect the traffic that is transmitted across it.

    Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing

AireSpring is also deploying Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM). This method increases the amount of bandwidth on existing fiber facilities, DWDM not only helps AireSpring gain greater efficiencies, but it also means AireSpring is poised to meet the increasing bandwidth demands of its customers — quickly and efficiently.
